“My late brother, Joseph Mahon from Cabra West, and his then girlfriend, Mary Kendrick. He tragically died a few months later following a motorcycle accident. He looks a lot older, but he was just eighteen at the time and he had finished school a few months before this photograph. This is the last image taken of him before he died and it’s really important in our family, especially now that there are nieces, nephews and grandchildren he never met.”
