“Paul Carr Senior, My father – A tailor by trade, Photographer Mr Arthur fields tried his hand as a tailor before he discover’d the camera, I, Paul Carr Junior did not follow my dad’s foot steps, Instead I became a Photographer. The documentary adds so much more validity / historical fact to this photo of my dad taken by Arthur fields en-route from O’Connell Bridge to The Adelphi Cinema, A wise move he’d make daily at dusk when no more Natural Light was to be had, He’d make his way up O’Connell St, To The Adelphi with its Las Vegas style Light bulbs scattering light onto his subjects below from its bright Marquee, This Allowed his Flash Gun to operate at less power & Therefore he could stay out longer to take more pictures into the night, Brilliant ! ”
