“This photo was taken in the late 1940s. The woman on the right is my aunt Margaret Gorman, originally from Cavan, who is cycling with her friend Peggy Hendrick from Wexford. My aunt worked in a grocery shop in Dublin – Stanleys in Parnell Street – and they were cycling to Howth for a picnic on the day this photo was taken.”
