“here’s the photo of my folks, Austin Mulkearn and Mary Mulkearn (nee McCabe, as she would have been at the time of the photo). It was taken when they were courting, so would have been in the mid-1960s. My Da was from Mullingar and lodging on the Northside and my Ma was a Dub, from Kilmainham, D8. They’re still going strong and living in Clondalkin.”
