“Actress Movita Castaneda and boxer/singer Jack Doyle, who were married briefly. When the pair walked down O’Connell Street in the 1940s, a couple of hundred people trailed awestruck behind the glamorous couple. They went their separate ways shortly after this photograph. Movita went on to marry Marlon Brando. Jack died from cirrhosis of the liver in 1978, penniless and homeless. For a while though, they were the ‘it’ couple in Dublin.”
