“Myself and my then girlfriend, Helen Gavin. The photo was taken on O’Connell Street after a dance in the Irish Club. At that time, there were nine or ten dance halls in Dublin and in the Irish Club there’d be dances five or six nights a week. I have three other photos taken by Arthur Fields, all with different women. That was a trend of the time, taking a photo with a date. It was a fun thing to do.”
