” love this photo of my mother and me on a shopping spree. It was taken on O’Connell Street in July 1986, and I was working on the B&I while I was in college, so I had money to spend. My mother had had her photo taken by Mr Field when she was younger, and remembered him fondly as a great Dublin character. Time has taken its toll on my Mother, and she has dementia now, so it is lovely to see her so pretty, young and happy looking.”
