“This is a photo of my parents Paddy and Molly Diver. They were married on the 30th September 1952 in St Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry. They came to Dublin for their honeymoon in the first week of October and stayed in the gate lodge at Trinity College, just off College Street, which they were able to arrange through a friend. They had 5 children and 10 grandchildren. In 2012 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Sadly my father Paddy passed away on the 2nd August 2013 aged 85. My mother told me this photo was taken on O’Connell Bridge and they have always cherished it. It hangs pride of place in my mothers hall.”
