“Myself with Martin Coffey, Edward Trainer, Edward Lucite, John Kildare and John Ball. After having drinks and craic (in sign language, as all of us were deaf) in the German Bar, Parliament Street, and finishing off with chips at the Rainbow Café, O’Connell Street, a photo was taken on O’Connell Bridge to grab the happy memories of us young men having a good time out in town, before dashing off to catch the last bus home back to lodging houses and bedsits.”
