“This photo is a picture of my Mum (Margaret Brennan nee Fox) (1945-2000) and her Italian friend Silvi . They became pen-friends when they were young teenagers. They remained friends for life. In 1989 Mum brother and sister and I went to went to visit Silvia and her family in Italy. In the late 1990’s they set up a small business that brought Italian students to Ireland to learn English. So I guess it’s an important shot as it marked the beginning of a life long friendship. It was taken on the 13th of June 1964.”
