“This is a picture of my maternal grandparents Con Costigan of Togher, Tipperary and Maureen Campion of Borris-in-Ossory, Laois. It was taken circa 1947, the year they married. They went on to have 5 children, including my mother Mary. They have both since passed away but were very much in love. (I’ll try to add another picture I have of th dancing in our living room years later in the 1980’s not long before Connie passed away). They were both lovely people and were well-known and liked in Fairview, where they lived.
