“My mother (Monica Gaynor) and my father (Frank Gaynor) are in it. They are walking hand-in-hand along O’Connell Street, in front of the GPO. They had met the previous year, 1965. They married in 1968. This photo marks a moment of humour, a moment of happiness. An framed copy of this photograph, enlarged to the size of a television, is framed and hangs in my apartment in The Hague. ”
