“The photo is of my mother Nora Tobin and her sister Sr. Enda Buckley who was home from South Africa on holidays. My aunt Sr. Enda joined the Mercy order at 17 and was posted to South Africa. She was abroad for 46 years before she first got back home in 1960 and then again in 1970. My aunt died in South Africa in 1996 at the aga of 91 and my mother died in 2004 at the age of 87.”
