“his photo of my husband, Richard White, and our daughter Myra was taken in 1982. I was a patient in St Vincent’s Hospital Elm Park at the time and they were on their way from Heuston Station after travelling up from Tullamore, County Offaly to visit me. It’s funny – I remember giving out to him about the way he dressed her on the day, saying to him, “The poor child, if anyone sees her.” l guess he never thought this picture would appear in a book!”
