“My maternal grandmother Elizabeth (Lizzie) Duff (nee Coleman 1911-1936) with a younger sister May Geraghty (nee Coleman 1925-1994). According to Marian Shortt (nee Geraghty, Balbriggan), this photo was taken as the sisters made their way for the bus home to Curkeen, Skerries. May is carrying a bag/box of sweets bought as a treat by Lizzie on the occasion of her discharge from hospital that day, sometime during 1931. Marian and my mother, Teresa Boylan (nee Duff, Skerries), are first cousins.”
