“This is a photo of my mother Katie Rowley (nee Kavanagh) born in 1928 and from Co. Leitrim. She is photographed with her brother-in-law, Michael Burke who was from Co. Galway but lived in Dublin. Michael died aged 90, in 2013. When this photo was taken, Michael had just collected my mother from the train station, she was coming to Dublin to visit her sister Lily (who was Michael’s girlfriend at the time of the photo). Lily is still alive and lives in Dublin.”
