“This is a photo of my aunt Mae Kelleher (nee Kavanagh) on the left, my uncle Michael Burke, in the centre and Lily Burke (nee Kavanagh) to the right.
Mae and Lily are originally from Aughavas, Co. Leitrim. When this photo was taken, Lily was working in Dublin and dating Michael Burke, who she went on to marry. The day this photo was taken, Mae had travelled from Leitrim to Dublin to visit her older sister Lily.
Michael died, aged 90, in 2013. Lily is now 88 years old and lives in Dublin. Mae emigrated to America in her late teens or early 20’s and married Patrick Kelleher, Mae is now in her early 80’s and lives in New Jersey, USA.”
