“Myself on the night before the 1974 bombing outside Clerys. Originally from Clare, I was working as a bus driver in Dublin. The buses were on strike so I was just killing time and had my photograph taken and the next day I collected my photograph on Talbot Street. I had just got back to my flat
in Phibsborough when the window shuddered. I heard Mike Murphy on the radio saying there had been some disturbance in the city centre. When I look at the photo, it reminds me how lucky I was. I probably passed by the car that contained the bomb. Everyone tells me it was my lotto-ticket moment.”
