“On left in foreground, as you look at photograph is my father, Michael Jacob. He was born in Co Laois. He attended C.B.S. Portlaoise, won a scholarship to the Civil Service in Dublin after Leaving Cert. He was born 24/11/’15 and died 20/12/’87. He played hurling for Civil Service & Fontenoys. He retired as assistant to Comptroller & Auditor General. He was married to Sadie Power & had 6 children – Lived his life in Dublin. (Patrick Jacob) ”
