“I have attached a photo which may be of interest to you for the Archive? It is of myself (aged 1- 2yrs, with my bus ticket in hand!) and my Dad, possibly coming from Clery’s, as we always shopped there on such trips. By luck, it was dated at the time -1961. We did not live in Dublin and only visited on annual holidays from North-West Donegal in August each year – so it was likely to have been in August, 1961. I love this photo as it is one of the few I have taken of my Dad and myself together (my older brother must have been with my Mum for some reason???) and it also brings back happy memories of simple times and the fun we had with our parents on those annual holidays, including the excitement of travelling on a double-decker bus into the city from where we stayed in Dublin!”
