“I was so delighted to find this picture. It is my Grandfather and Grandmother in Dublin on Honeymoon September 1944. Bartholomew (Bart) Gibbons and Mary (Mae) Gibbons nee Beirne. They were both from Co Leitrim, Granddad was a Garda based in Killaloe, Co Clare at the time they married. What makes this picture even more wonderful is they are either coming or going to have their official wedding photo taken at another photographic studio. (Unfortunately we do not know which studio was used), As you can see they are wearing the same outfits in both the street photo and the studio photo. Also on the back of the street photo is the following number 1347919. My Granddad died in 1986 and Granny Mae turned 100 earlier this year. You maybe able to confirm if this is an Arthur Field photo. ”
