“At the back are my mother, Jane Condron, her sister, Elizabeth Malone, and my sister Ethne Condron. In front are my sister Patsy, me, and my father, Andy Condron. I think I’m looking up at my father with an expression of admiration. He was a very fit guy, an ex-boxer; he was good at everything, an all-round athlete. We were on our way to our relations in Pearse Street and Cabra. I think people were fitter then because we walked everywhere. Fantastic memories, thanks to Athur Fields.”
