“My ma, Jin Conway from Lucan, and my eldest brother, John. At this point in her life, my mother only had one child, but she’d go on to have another eight. It’s a fantastic photograph of street life from the time and I love the man in the bowler hat in the background. I believe the man holding my brother up was a lodger in our house, an Italian chef called Mario who worked in the Spa Hotel, Lucan.”
