“This photo is a snap of my late mother Margaret McGuiness (Reilly) and my father Francis Reilly. I’d say my mother here is no older than 16 or so and my father, 24 years of age or there abouts.
They both lived and grew up in town, my mother Merchants Quay and my father Clombrazzil Street.
They met through the embroidery and pressing end of things as they both worked together.
They went onto get married and have 6childeren including myself, 3boys and 3girls. I’m the youngest of three girls, Lanna. In 1999, when I was 9years of age my family took a great blow as we suffered the loss of our beloved mother ❤
This photo has such a big place in my heart as I haven’t got many photos of my mother as I was so young. My mam and dad look super happy in this photo and that’s a joy to look at, two of them so stunning.
I will always treasure this photo and I have one man to thsnk , Abraham Feldman, Arthur Fields #manonthebridge ❤”
