“This is a photo of my mum. Her maiden name was Grace Sweeney from Thor, Gweedore, Co. Donegal. Married name Grace Boyle. She got married in Feb 1943 so I would say this photo was taken in 1939 or 1940 when she was working in Dublin. She was born in Feb 1920. This photo is important to me as I do not have many photos of my mother when she was young and she passed away on 30th. November 2013. There is a number written in pencil on the back of photo – 4589 if this means anything.”
