“The photo shows a very young Jimmy Cushen and his next door neighbour Bobby Corr as they crossed O’Connell Bridge on their way to the pictures in 1947. Going to the cinemas played a big part in the life of Jimmy and his family. The short trousers were nothing unusual for young lads of 11 years of age at that time.”
