” received this photograph from my late father, Daniel Ryan. It depicts some members of
his family. Before he passed he named the people in the photo. They are: Jim Kealy and Mick Kealy (my granduncles); Paddy Bourke (the taxi driver); and a young Daniel Kealy (Jim Kealy’s son). The photograph was taken on a day out to visit Jim’s daughter, Margaret (Maggie), who was being cared for in Cappagh Hospital, County Dublin. I can only presume the parcel was a present for Margaret from her family. Margaret later died at the age of fourteen.”
