“Myself Mary Smith (nee Walsh) on the right. My friend Bernadette Smith for over 60 years. We started school in St Brigids Holy Faith Killester and went on together to Secondary School at Virgo Clemens Coolock now Mercy Convent. We also worked in the telephone exchange for a short time before going out to America. We didn’t stay long just a couple of months but Bernie was to return there some years later when she married. Although she now lives in America we have continued to keep in touch and visit each other. We remain very best friends. Regards, Mary”
