“I [Claire] am in the middle of the photo wearing my very good coat and sandals that children our age wore in the fifties.
My sister [Jill] is beside me, twirling her jacket on her little finger. She is striding forth.
My mother [Marjorie Kavanagh is holding my hand. She looks a bit tired and grumpy.
By the look of us, we were on a day out from home which was Glenageary. We would most likely have lunch in Bewleys.”
