“This is a photo of my lovely handsome brother Liam Geheran with his then girlfriend (unfortunately don’t know her name) picture taken around 1960. He emigrated to Sydney Australia around 1968 on the 10 pound government scheme (and it was 24 years before he came back to visit Ireland again ) but he was always in touch by telephone. He married an Italian immigrant named Angela and had three children Belinda Gavin Craig and two grandchildren Roxanne and Isley. He was very happy and successful in his new life in Australia. He never lost his Irish sense of humour or Irish saying’s throughout his time away from Ireland and he was a great family man! Unfortunately he passed away in June 2013 way too soon and is greatly missed by his family and all who knew him! Doreen Maher (sister)”
