“Me and my girlfriend, Annette Kelly, shortly before our engagement. It was on a Saturday afternoon and we were shopping for an engagement ring (after visiting a dozen jewellers, we found the one she wanted). I worked in Glen Abbey, Patrick’s Street at the time, and that’s where I made our matching sweatshirts. I remember Arthur from way back, when I was a youngster. On Sunday evenings in the summer when I would be coming home with my parents from the “Mystery Train” trips, we’d see Arthur on the bridge or further up O’Connell Street. Great memories.”
