Gordon was Art Editor and Chief Cartoonist with Independent newspapers. He died suddenly in my mother’s shop, The Gem, in Howth, on Bloomsday 16 June 1946.
The National Library of Ireland have recently acquired a set of some 500 of his cartoons which they have put up on line.”
