“I attach 4 photos. 2 of them refer to me and my future wife Bridie McLoughlin (now decd) taken on O’Connel Bridge around 1954 – very happy occasions taken by Mr Fields 2 yrs prior to our engagement,. The reverse of the photos shows the following two numbers written in pencil by the photographer – E91058 O96505. Photo 3 me and my 2 sisters (murphy shop in background) on my way to my first job in the bank In Boyle Co Roscommon. My sister Mary came with me. Photo 3 shows my parents in Dublin AND AT EXACTLY THE SAME SPOT OUTSIDE THE GPO.!! Probably about 10 yrs between each photo. What an extraordinary coincidence. It is a lovely family memory which has only now come to my attention and will give rise to much family discussion down in Ballingarry Kill Co waterford where I was born in 1929..
