“This is my mother and father, John Morgan and his bride Eileen Sherry passing through Dublin on their way to Killarney for their honeymoon. My father was 35 at the time and my mother, the youngest of her family, was only 17 and a half. They met in Newbliss, Co. Monaghan where my father was a Garda. After their marriage they moved to Bawnboy, Co. Cavan where they spent the remainder of their lives. While they were in Dublin my father bought a camera and while we have no pictures of their wedding we have many taken on their honeymoon.”
