“I am posting this truly wonderful photo of my father and mother which was taken on O’Connell Street on the day of their engagement
They were Vincent McAviney from Newtownbutler Co.Fermanagh and Sarah O’Hare from Shore Road Belfast
They got engaged in The Happy Ring House on O’Connell Street
They look like film stars and this is a photograph we, their 14 children (11 now as 3 deceased as of 2009) have always cherished
The year we believe was 1945/46 as they married on 10th June 1946”
