“This is my grandfather Mathew Fennell from New Ross, County Wexford. This was the first ever photo I saw of him as a young man. We think he was in Dublin that day on business for the insurance company he worked for. The most vivid memory that I have of my grandfather is that he always had a cigarette in his hand, as you can see he even has one in this picture. He died of lung cancer in 1984.”
