“My mother, Mona Fitzsimons (née Doyle, left), me and my aunt Mai Doyle on O’Connell Bridge. These days, my mother doesn’t remember who we are, sadly. Every so often, though, we show her photographs and sometimes she reacts to them. Recently, I showed her this photo and asked “who’s that?” She said, “that’s my baby daughter. I shared this story on the Late Late Show.””
